Abused Tradition Alert!

POLISH police said an elderly woman had fallen victim to an increasingly rowdy tradition in which revellers throw water at each other in the streets on Easter Monday.

The 74-year-old died of a heart attack after apparently being drenched...

I unwillingly 'participated' in this tradition a couple of years ago on a train leaving a small city near Warsaw called 'Teresin.' I was drenched by a bucket of water tossed at me as I entered the train. No harm, but it seems to have lost its roots since I was a 30+ year old man!
